The workout begins with the athlete standing on the starting mat. At the call of go, the athlete will run down the lane and begin their first set of 9 burpee box jump overs.

After completing the 9 BBJO, the athlete will move to their barbell and complete 21 thrusters. Once complete, the athlete will advance the barbell to the next designated box.

Once the barbell has been moved, the athlete will return to the box for another 9 BBJO. Once complete, the athlete will return to the barbell and complete 15 thrusters. Once complete, the athlete will advance the barbell to the next designated box.

After completing the 9 BBJO, the athlete will move to their barbell and complete 21 thrusters. Once complete, the athlete will advance the barbell to the next designated box.

Once the barbell has been moved, the athlete will return to the box for another 9 BBJO. Once complete, the athlete will return to the barbell and complete 15 thrusters. Once complete, the athlete will advance the barbell to the next designated box.

Once the barbell has been moved, the athlete will return to the box for another 9 BBJO. Once complete, the athlete will return to the barbell and complete 9 thrusters. Once complete, the athlete will run past the start/finish line back to the starting mat. The clock stops once the athlete crosses the finish line. If the athlete fails to complete all the prescribed work prior to the 5:00 cap, their score will be CAP + total reps completed.

Movement Standards

Burpee Box Jump Over: Athletes start each rep standing on their feet. Athletes will complete each burpee facing the box with the head closest to the box and the feet farthest from the box. During the burpees, the athlete can step or jump to the ground. At the bottom of the burpee, the chest and thighs must clearly make contact with the ground. Athletes can step or jump off the ground. Athletes must jump on or over the box, stepping is not allowed. Lateral and forward facing jumps over the box are allowed. Athletes can clear the box or jump on top of the box. Athletes can jump down or step off the box. The rep is finished once the athlete’s feet are on the ground after completing the box jump over portion of the movement. 

Thruster: The movement begins with the barbell on the ground. At the bottom of the movement, the athlete’s hips must clearly break at or below the crease of the knee. At the top of the movement, the athlete must stand with hips, knees, arms and elbows clearly locked out with the barbell over the head. A squat clean into the first rep is allowed. A muscle squat clean into the first rep is allowed. When dropping the barbell from overhead, the athlete must control the barbell to the ground and smother the barbell from bouncing out of the athlete’s lane.
