Both athletes will begin the workout on the start mat or behind the HSW line in front of the rig based on their lane. At the call of 3, 2, 1, Go, the athletes will perform the C&J with one athlete working at a time.

The non-working athlete will remain on the start mat or behind the HSW line when not lifting. The athletes will tag in and out at the start mat or HSW line. The athletes will stop when the time cap hits or they have reached 30 reps. A lift must be completed within the time cap for it to count towards the score.

Athletes may NOT add weight to their barbell until the 1:00 rest period.

Athletes must take a mandatory 1:00 rest period following the 4:00 cap of The Hunley. During this rest period, the athletes will add the weight to their barbell.

Before the 1:00 minute rest period ends, ALL Athletes will move to the start mat or behind the HSW line in front of the rig based on their lane. At the call of 3,2,1 Go, The Athletes will advance to their HSW in the lane approx 20’ from their starting point and perform the prescribed HSW. The HSW can be broken up however athletes choose as long as the standards are met for unbroken requirements. Once the HSW is completed, the athletes may start their C&J with the new weight on the barbell. A lift must be completed within the time cap for it to count towards the score.

Movement Standards:
Clean and Jerk: During the clean, the barbell begins on the ground and must be lifted from the ground to the shoulders in one motion. A muscle clean, power clean, split clean, or squat clean may be used, as long as the barbell comes up to the rack position on the shoulders. Once racked, a press, push press, split jerk, or push jerk may be used to lock the barbell out overhead. The barbell must pass through the front-rack position before going overhead; snatching is not permitted. The rep is counted when the barbell is fully locked out overhead directly over the middle of the athlete’s body, with the arms, hips, and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body. Clips MUST be on the barbell for ANY reps to count. The non-working athlete must be in the holding area for ANY rep to count. If the athlete drops the bar behind them in any C&J, it will be considered a NO REP.

Handstand Walk: Kick up with both hands (entire hand, including palm and fingers) BEHIND the mark of the segment being attempted. Stepping over the line or landing with your hands on or over the line is a “no rep.” Must walk forward. Coming down from the hands at any time requires a restart from behind the last 20-foot (PRO/RX/35+) or 5-foot line (All Other Divisions) successfully crossed. A rep is credited when both hands, including palms and fingers, cross the line of the prescribed distance before the feet touch the ground.
